About Tabe

Located at 209 S Main St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, Tabe operates as a pan-asian restaurant serving Ann Arbor in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Ann Arbor, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Michigan run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amโ€“10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Tabe at (734) 987-1688; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is tabefusion.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 296 reviews, which is a strong result for a pan-asian restaurant in Ann Arbor and suggests consistent service.

I ordered take out here and the sushi is way overpriced this Entree was $22. I feel like you are paying for the "experience" and the look of the food/restaurant. But the taste and over quantity was very mid. And definitely had some texture issues with some of the veggies. I was disappointed because it looked good but I did not like it and the vegetables rolls should definitely have more than just avocados and cucumbers. I've had better sushi at cheaper places that gives you more for your money. Do not think I will return. HOWEVER, the Staff was 10/10 very friendly and very helpful which I appreciate it.

Update: I received email from the manager that replied to my review apologizing for the experience and asking my availability to dine at the restaurant again. I promptly replied with my availability and I have yet to hear back. That was months ago. I was really excited to try Tabe and went solo for the omakase experience, but it didnโ€™t fully meet expectations. To start, I called to confirm the $50 reservation hold fee and was met with a long pause, followed by โ€œyes?โ€ when they answered the phone, and a hesitant response, which felt unprofessional. The space is large, with a few thoughtful details, but lacked the ambiance Iโ€™d expect in a high-end Asian restaurant. The atmosphere of the second floor was a bit better than the first floor. I had an 8:00 pm reservation with a stated 5-minute late policy, yet we didnโ€™t begin until around 8:30 pm due to late guests. Waiting that long felt inconsistent with their own policy. I also noticed there didnโ€™t seem to be a dress code enforced, which slightly affected the upscale feel. For the food, I chose the premium omakase. Portions were generous, but the quality didnโ€™t quite match the $120 price point, pre-tip and tax, which appears to be abo

What a fabulous night for Valentine night. We had a best Omakase in Ann Arbor, MI totally unexpected and amazing with the quality of fishes which imported directly from Japan weekly plus that wasabi.. this is the best Omakase I have tried compared from the one we had at New York. The price of 12 course of mealsโ€” every bite of fishes are extremely fine and melting in our mouth plus the unstoppable complimentary sake with this unbelievable price. I would triple recommend anyone who live in West Michigan to go try this place with no doubt.

We were so excited to hear that thereโ€™s finally a spot in Ann Arbor that offers omakase experience, so we had to check it out at Tabe! And I am so glad we did because we were blown away by this place. We did the Essential Omakase package which is 7 courses for $90 each. It felt like way more than 7 courses and we were absolutely stuffed by the end. The appetizers were DELICIOUS, so flavorful and unique. The fish was so fresh, they fly it in from Japan multiple times per week. It was great being able to speak to the chefs, and they show you what each fish is and where each fish comes from before they serve you each piece. It was such a great experience I canโ€™t wait to go back and bring more of my friends!

Such a cool spot, I was blown away! I had the privilege of speaking with the head of the restaurant before my meal as I got there early and was waiting for my date. I have spent many years of my life working nearly every job you can name in a range of restaurants and managing pizza spots. I could tell right when I walked in that there was a very strong leader behind Tabe. You can tell how each member of the staff was well trained and leading with a service oriented approach. The atmosphere is amazing, three total floors! Ground floor is a little more casual, I was sat on the second floor which leans towards casual fine dining. Restaurant was spotless. The second floor sushi bar is such a cool setting, complemented by great lighting and decor to set the vibe just right. Our server was really kind and attentive, great human being!! Never once felt like I was waiting on anything and he had good suggestions for what to order. Apps options are deep with a really cool fusion flair, try the sushi tacos for certain! My brother is a sushi chef working for largest wholesale Japanese fish distributor in the US. I know quality sushi and Tabe had excellent selection and very fresh
